# Delete Your GoBites Merchant Account

You can permanently delete your GoBites Merchant account directly from the GoBites Merchant app.

## How to delete your account

1. Open the GoBites Merchant app.
2. Sign in to your merchant account.
3. Go to your Profile or Account Settings.
4. Select "Delete Account".
5. Review the account deletion information.
6. Confirm that you want to delete your account.

For security, you may be required to verify your identity before your account deletion request is completed.

## What happens when you delete your account

Once your deletion request is confirmed, GoBites begins processing the deletion of your account and the
personal information associated with it. Deletion may include:

- Merchant profile information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Restaurant or business profile information
- Saved business addresses and locations
- Account preferences
- Account identifiers
- Other personal information associated with your GoBites Merchant account

## Data we may need to retain

Some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute
resolution, regulatory or security purposes. Retained information is kept only for the period necessary to
fulfil the applicable requirement and is not used for unrelated purposes.

## Important notice

Deleting your GoBites Merchant account may be permanent. Once eligible account data has been deleted, it may
not be possible to restore your account, business information or associated data.
