    Delete your account

Choose your GoBites account type to request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data. You can request deletion here without reinstalling an app or signing in to this website.

Uninstalling an app or signing out does not delete your account. If you use more than one GoBites product, specify each account you want deleted—even if they share a phone number.

    Phone number and OTP accounts

For Customer and Courier accounts that use phone-number sign-in, identify your account using your registered number, including its country code. You can send the request from an email address you can access; it does not have to be linked to your GoBites account.

Verification may be required to protect your account. Enter any sign-in OTP only in the official GoBites app or verified authentication screen. Never email an OTP, password or Mobile Money PIN to support.

If you lost your phone, changed your number or cannot receive an OTP, explain this in your request. Support can discuss another way to verify ownership. Do not send identity documents unless support explains why they are needed and provides an appropriate secure method.

    Delete your Customer Account

For your GoBites customer account, orders and saved delivery details.

    1. Email support@usegobites.com with the subject “Delete my GoBites Customer account”.
    2. Include the phone number registered to your account, with its country code. An email address linked to the account is not required.
    3. Say that you want your Customer account and associated personal data deleted. Support may verify that you control the account before processing the request.
    Request Customer deletion by email

Opens your email app. Review and send the message to submit your request. You can also write directly to support@usegobites.com.

    Data covered by your request

    • Customer profile, name and contact details
    • Saved delivery addresses and locations
    • Account preferences and account identifiers

Deletion removes access to your customer account and eligible saved information. Tell support about an active order, pending refund or unresolved complaint so it can be handled alongside your request.

The retention exceptions below apply to all account types.

    Delete your Courier Account

    1. Email support@usegobites.com with the subject “Delete my GoBites Courier account”.
    2. Include the phone number registered to your courier account, with its country code. Include your courier ID if you know it; a linked email address is not required.
    3. Ask for your Courier account and associated personal data to be deleted. Support may verify account ownership and discuss any active delivery or outstanding payout.
    Request Courier deletion by email

    Data covered by your request

    • Courier profile and contact details
    • Account preferences and account identifiers
    • Identity, vehicle and location records that no longer need to be retained

Deletion ends access to courier delivery opportunities. It does not automatically forfeit earned payouts. Active deliveries, cash reconciliation, outstanding earnings and disputes may need separate handling; tell support about them when requesting deletion.

The retention exceptions below apply to all account types.

    Request Merchant deletion by email

Opens your email app. Review and send the message to submit your request. You can also write directly to support@usegobites.com.

    Data covered by your request

    • Merchant profile, name and contact details
    • Restaurant or business profile and saved business locations
    • Account preferences and account identifiers

Deletion may remove access to your merchant account and eligible business information. Tell support about active orders, outstanding settlements or disputes. You must be authorised to request deletion of the business account.

The retention exceptions below apply to all account types.

    What happens next?

After verifying an authorised request, GoBites processes account deletion and the removal or anonymisation of associated personal data that no longer needs to be kept. Support can explain the expected completion time, any necessary steps and the outcome of your request. Sending an email does not immediately delete an account.

Deletion is intended to be permanent. Once eligible information has been deleted, it may not be recoverable. Where an in-app deletion option is available, you may also initiate your request there; use the email route if you cannot access it.

Data we may need to retain

Some records may remain where required or lawfully justified for tax, accounting, payments, fraud prevention, security, regulatory obligations or resolving disputes. This may include order and transaction records, courier delivery and payout records, merchant settlements and relevant verification or complaint records.

Retention depends on the record and the applicable requirement. Records are kept only as long as necessary for that purpose, protected and not used for unrelated purposes. Support can explain which records must be retained, why, and the applicable period or criteria when handling your request.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an order, erase a lawful debt or remove a right to a refund or earned payout. Any outstanding matter should be addressed separately without treating it as permission to retain unrelated information indefinitely.
